Dakota Creek is a lowland stream that flows directly into Drayton Harbor in Puget Sound. The objective of the Dakota Creek gage is to better understand the hydrology of a lowland creek with direct flow to Puget Sound. Dakota Creek supports populations of coho, chinook, and chum salmon as well as cutthroat trout.
