Station 35B150 Description
The station on the Tucannon River near Marengo is located on the left bank just downstream from the county bridge. Installed and powered up in early June of 2003, this continuously recording, telemetered station is designed to provide near real-time discharge information by transmitting data on regular intervals to the GOES West satellite, from there the data follows an established path before being received at the Washington Department of Ecology headquarters in Olympia, Washington. The Tucannon River is one of the few Snake River tributaries in this area which contains a spring run of chinook salmon, Oncorhynchus tshawytscha.
