Swift Transportation Truck Accident Spill

Facility Site ID: 1599
Cleanup Site ID: 14384

In January 2016, a release of diesel fuel and motor oil occurred from a tractor-trailer accident.

About 23 tons of petroleum contaminated soil were excavated and disposed of at off-site waste disposal facilities. Analytical results from soil samples collected subsequent to cleanup activities indicate that concentrations of any remaining diesel or motor oil in soils are less than Model Toxics Cleanup Act (MTCA) Method A cleanup levels.

Based upon cleanup activities conducted at the Site, Ecology has determined the site is no longer a threat to human health and the environment. Ecology made a no further action determination in October 2012.
