The site operates as a card lock fueling station with aboveground storage tanks. Previously, the site operated as a card lock fueling station with undergrounds storage tanks. In 2008, Ecology was notified of a release based on a preliminary investigation. Investigations conducted at the site in 2008 and 2009 reported diesel and heavy oil contamination in soil.
In 2010, remedial activities took place at the site. Adequate sampling was performed to characterize, excavate, and treat/dispose of the contaminated soil. About 1,066 tons of diesel-impacted soil were disposed of at CEMEX soil remediation facility located in Everett, Washington. Focused confirmatory sampling in the excavation was adequate to confirm cleanup of the site.
Based upon cleanup activities, Ecology has determined the site is no longer a threat to human health and the environment. Ecology made a no further action determination in November 2010.

This site was cleaned up under our Voluntary Cleanup Program, which provides technical help to owners of contaminated sites.
Voluntary Cleanup Program customers pay fees to cover our costs for technical help and reviewing cleanup reports. Sites in this program must meet the same cleanup standards as the sites Ecology manages under legal orders.
