Pan
Pan - Provides basic navigation of the map.
  • Mouse down and drag: move map in desired direction.
  • Mouse-wheel forward: the map is zoomed in.
  • Mouse-wheel backward: the map is zoomed out.
  • SHIFT + mouse down and drag: the map is zoomed in.
  • SHIFT + CTRL + mouse down and drag: the map is zoomed out.
  • Mouse double-click: the map is zoomed in.
Zoom In
Zoom In - Zoom in to a smaller geographic area for more detail.
  • Mouse down and drag: zoom to extent of drawn box.
  • Mouse click: zoomed in and center at the clicked location.

Zoom Out - Zoom out to a larger geographic area.
  • Mouse down and drag: zoom out.

Zoom Full - Click to zoom to the full extent for the state of Washington.

Identify - Identify features displayed on the map.
  • Click on desired map feature: popup is shown displaying information about features at the clicked location.

  1. Mouse down and drag: select EIM locations inside drawn box.
Select Polygon
Select Polygon - Select EIM locations and display information in a table.
  1. Click on map: point graphic is drawn at the clicked location.
  2. Click on map again: point graphic is drawn at the clicked location and line is drawn connecting the points.
  3. Double-click on map: finish polygon graphic.
Select Buffer Point
Select Point Buffer - Select EIM locations within a distance from a clicked point.
  1. Select buffer distance: sets distance of buffer.
  2. Click on map: select EIM locations within specified distance from clicked point.

Select Polygon Buffer - Select EIM locations within a distance of another map layer feature.
  1. Select target layer: sets layer to make selection from.
  2. Select buffer distance: sets distance of buffer.
  3. Click on feature from target layer: select EIM locations inside target feature.
NHD Tool
NHD Tool - Build list of reach codes and reach measures.
  • Click on map: point graphic is drawn at the clicked location.
  • Add a Location ID.
  • Click 'Add': location is added to NHD List table.
  • Click 'Download CSV': CSV of results is downloaded.
Lat/Long Tool
Lat/Long Tool - Build a list of lat/long locations containing EIM spatial metadata.
  • Click on map: point graphic is drawn at the clicked location.
  • Add Location ID.
  • Click 'Add': location is added to Lat/Long List table.
  • Click 'Download CSV': CSV of results is downloaded.
Measure
Measure - Measure distance between locations.
  1. Select unit of measure: sets unit of measure for measurement.
  2. Click on map: point graphic is drawn at the start location.
  3. Click on map again: point graphic is drawn at the end location and total measure is displayed.
Report Finder
Report Finder - Find reports at a given location.
  1. Select report theme: sets report search criteria.
  2. Select search distance: sets distance in which to perform the report search.
  3. Click on map: returns list of reports which meets search criteria.
Clear All
Clear All - Click to clear all graphics and selections.
Zoom to a geographic area of interest.
To open map find, click the Find tab at the top of the map.
Refine EIM locations selection based on search criteria.
To open map search, click the Search tab at the top of the map.
Click Help link above to open this window again.
