BP CHERRY POINT REFINERY

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD MAY 13, 2020-JUNE 26, 2020

We invite you to comment on the following dangerous waste corrective action permit, agreed order, and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) determination for the BP Cherry Point refinery's oily water sewer.

Read the public comment notice for more information, such as how to send in your comments.

While we're not aware of any current releases from the refinery's oily water sewer, these include detailed requirements to investigate and clean up any soil or groundwater contamination. Contaminants of concern include metals, volatile organics, and semi-volatile organics.

A comment period on the nearby Phillips 66 refinery's oily water sewer is taking place during this same time.
