AP Aquatic Noxious Weed Management GP The general permit covers the indirect discharge of herbicides, adjuvants, and marker dyes into estuaries, marine areas, wetlands, along lake shorelines, rivers, streams, and other wet areas to manage Spartina and freshwater noxious weeds in Washington. An indirect discharge occurs when there may be incidental overspray or dripping of a chemical from the treated plants into waters of the state.

It allows the use of imazamox and marker dyes on commercial clam beds (excluding geoduck), in Willapa Bay only, for control of Zostera japonica eelgrass, a Class C noxious weed.

AP Zostera Japonica The Zostera japonica Management on Commercial Clam Beds in Willapa Bay General Permit (permit) regulates the use of the aquatic herbicide imazamox and marker dyes applied to manage Z. japonica on commercial clam beds (excluding geoduck culture) in Willapa Bay where imazamox may enter the surface waters of the state of Washington. The permit covers only the chemical management of Z. japonica.
