Author(s) Norton, D.
Description Settling particulate matter (SPM) and bottom sediments were collected at two marinas in
Thea Foss Waterway, Commencement Bay, Tacoma, Washington, between September 1999 and February 2000. The samples were analyzed for metals (copper, lead, mercury, zinc), semivolatile organics, and butyltins. These data were needed to refine contaminant flux estimates for marinas in order to model the potential for sediment recontamination in the waterway. This information was also needed to evaluate the need for further source control activities related to marinas.
