Description The North Creek Fecal Coliform TMDL is being established to address impairments to contact recreation and domestic water supply caused by excessive levels of fecal coliform bacteria and to help protect fish, which are affected by the low oxygen levels. The geographic scope of this TMDL is shown in Figure 1. The North Creek Watershed Total Maximum Daily Load Evaluation for Fecal Coliform Bacteria (Glenn, 2001) was the initial technical study developed by the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) to verify the existence of the bacteria problem and provide a basis for future water cleanup efforts in North Creek.
