Description The management team of the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Environmental Assessment Program, the primary environmental monitoring branch of the agency, requested:

*A review of the current state of affairs for assessment and measurement of state ambient groundwater conditions.

*Strategic recommendations regarding how the Environmental Assessment Program can best help Washington State meet current and future information needs for the groundwater resource.

This report summarizes the key findings and recommendations resulting from these efforts.
