Description This information is intended to assist individuals as they evaluate whether a property may have been located in an area subject to past use of arsenical pesticides. Maps contained in this document may be useful in determining the location of orchards prior to 1947 but do not distinguish the type of orchard trees in production. Past use of this pesticide increased the potential for elevated levels of lead and arsenic in the soils of pear and apple orchards that were in production prior to 1947.
