Description The Department of Ecology has been involved with the development of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at improving the treatment of waste discharges from cruise ships operating in Washington waters. This focus sheet provides an overview of who is involved in this effort, what is being agreed to, why the MOU was developed, where the agreement will be in effect, and both when you can comment on the draft MOU and when it is planned to take effect. You will find contact information for technical questions in the focus sheet.
