| Description | To help reduce human exposure to PBT's in the environment, Washington targeted mercury as the first compound to study under the state's PBT initiative. As part of the effort to understand and quantify anthropogenic sources of mercury, the Department of Ecology proposed this study of mercury emissions in some of the state's landfills. | ||||
