Description | Overview of Ecology’s Spills Program: Prevention involves vessel screening, vessel inspection, bunkering monitoring, investigation, and oil handling facilities. Preparedness works with contingency plan holders and prepares for spills by conducting drills, having contingency plans, geographical response plans, working with response contractors, interagency coordination and education and outreach. Response involves 24 hour-statewide response system, compliance and enforcement, cleanup oversight, illegal drug lab cleanup as well as education and outreach. | ||||
