| Description | Twelve open-water sites in south Puget Sound and one intertidal area in inner Budd Inlet were re-assessed in 2005 for previous violations of water quality standards. Water quality violations included PCBs and bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (BEHP) in sole and rockfish as well as several PAHs in clams from the former Cascade Pole clean-up site in inner Budd Inlet. The results of the study were needed to determine if these waterbodies should remain on the federal Clean Water Act Section 303(d) list of impaired waterbodies. Pentachlorophenol, dioxins, and furans were also analyzed at the Cascade Pole site. | ||||
