Description A new law, Chapter 70.140 RCW, was enacted in 2005 that requires Ecology to assess soil contamination at schools and childcares within the Tacoma Smelter Plume (TSP). The purpose of this document is to describe the activities that will be conducted and identify the roles and responsibilities of Ecology and other state and local agencies in implementing this law.
