Description The Lower Duwamish Waterway, located in Seattle, Washington, was added to the National
Priorities List (Superfund) by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on September 13, 2001. Chemicals of concern found in waterway sediments include polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), mercury and other metals, and phthalates. These chemicals of concern may pose threats to people, fish, and wildlife.
