| Description | This report is a TMDL for fecal coliform bacteria and covers 41 miles of mainstem Willapa River. Target reductions (load allocations) for fecal coliform bacteria were established at seven mainstem and four tributary locations. The target reductions were calculated based on a statistical difference between existing water quality conditions and the water quality standards, following the standard roll-back-method. The report includes an Implementation Strategy that describes a conceptual approach to improving water quality, and the framework through which improvement can be accomplished. Appendix I describes how the local community was involved in helping to complete the report and the action plan. |
