Description In April 2007, Governor Christine Gregoire signed a new law that updates the fee structure for hydropower fees. This is the first time fees have been updated since 1929.
Substitute Senate Bill 5881 amended two sections of Chapter 90.16 RCW, “Appropriation of water for public and industrial purposes” (RCW 90.16.050 and .090).
