Description The Washington State Department of Ecology proposes to remove the Joseph Simon & Sons Kent site from the state’s Hazardous Sites List. The Joseph Simon & Sons Kent site occupies most of a 6.2-acre property, comprising two lots located at 917 and 1025 South Central Avenue in Kent, Washington. Ecology has determined that the remediation work at the Joseph Simon & Sons Kent site meets the substantial requirements of the Model Toxics Control Act and does not pose a threat to human health or the environment. Public comments will be accepted January 30 through March 2, 2009.
