Description The Washington State Department of Ecology prepared this fact sheet to provide information about the Country Junction Store. The Country Junction Store is located at 5310 S.E. Hwy 160 (Mile Hill Drive), Port Orchard, WA 98366. In August 1990 Ecology and owners of the Country Junction Store entered into a Consent Decree that describes their working relationship and provided for partial financial assistance to clean up the property and required Ecology to implement activities to clean up contaminated soil and groundwater at the site. Ecology is currently proposing an interim action plan to clean up contaminated soil and groundwater on the Country Junction Store property. Additional actions will be required to clean up contamination located east of the property. Ecology is seeking the public's comments on the Draft Interim Action Plan, the SEPA checklist, and Public Participation Plan. Comments will be accepted February 27 through March 30, 2009.
