Description Interim Action Work Plan and SEPA Available for Public Comment. In January of 2009, the City of Tacoma bought the Sauro’s Cleanerama site in downtown Tacoma. The City plans to clean up and redevelop the site under Department of Ecology supervision. Under an agreement with Ecology, they must complete a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study, and a final Cleanup Action Plan. The City is proposing an Interim Action (partial cleanup action) as a way to speed up cleanup of contaminated soil. After Ecology approval, the City will implement the final Cleanup Action Plan to ensure the entire site is clean. Public comments will be accepted May 21 through June 22, 2009.
