Description In 2008, the Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) entered into a Consent Decree with Murray Pacific Corp (Murray Pacific) to begin cleanup actions at the B&L Woodwaste site, located along the border of Milton and Fife, Washington. As part of the agreement, Murray Pacific developed an Engineering Design Report to describe in detail how the first phase of the final cleanup actions would be implemented and maintained. Generally, the cleanup consists of construction of a sub-surface wall around the landfill, pumping and treatment of wetland groundwater and other remedial measures. Comments on the Engineering Design Report will be accepted May 4 through June 4, 2009.
