| Description | The Washington Department of Ecology plans to collect fish from several waters in Chelan County to check for the same toxic chemicals found in 2003. Sampling in 2003 at Lake Chelan and Roses Lake showed high levels of DDT in fish while fish from the Wenatchee River had high levels of PCBs and elevated levels of DDT. Local and state health authorities subsequently issued fish consumption advisories for Lake Chelan and the Wenatchee River (see Related Web Content below). A Water Cleanup Plan for Lake Chelan was completed in 2008 (see Related Publication below). Results from the 2010 sampling will be ready in December 2011.
