Description What's happening now? Hydrogeological investigation begins September 27, 2010, at Gas Works Park. Six new wells will be drilled at the park; one deep well and five shallow wells. This investigation by the City of Seattle and Puget Sound Energy is part of research into existing Lake Union sediment contamination. This is in accordance with the March 2005 legal agreement between the Department of Ecology, the City of Seattle, and Puget Sound Energy.
