Description | As of December 31, 2009, all new water uses in the Quilcene-Snow watershed (Water Resources Inventory Area [WRIA] 17) must be measured. This applies to surface and ground water uses, including well uses under the groundwater permit exemption. Water users are required to install a meter to record and report their water use. In addition to uses beginning after December 31, 2009, the metering requirement applies to existing users with water rights. Existing permit-exempt well users do not fall under this requirement. The following provides a general outline of meter, interface unit and installation requirements. See contacts in the side bar for assistance. |
