| Description | Public Invited to Review and Comment on Documents. Investigation of Substances in Groundwater Proposed. Chemicals known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other contaminants sometimes linked to landfills have been found in groundwater near the Sudbury Road Landfill. The contaminants exceed state groundwater protection standards. The landfill is located at 414 Sudbury Road, Walla Walla, WA and is owned and operated by the City of Walla Walla. The Washington Department of Ecology plans to enter into an Agreed Order with the City of Walla Walla to do a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study at the Sudbury Road Landfill.
