Description Ecology plans to conduct a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study in the Monte Cristo Mining Area Site which is 4 miles southeast of Barlow Pass off the Mountain Loop Hwy near Silverton in Snohomish County, WA. The site is located in extremely rugged terrain of the Cascade Mountains within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Ecology is asking for public comments on the SEPA checklist and Determination of Non-Significance. Comments will be accepted August 24, 2011 through September 26, 2011.
