Description | Cleanup is proposed at Tailings Disposal Facilities 1 and 2 of Pend Oreille Mine. The site is two miles north of Metaline Falls on the east side of the Pend Oreille River in Pend Oreille Co., WA. These documents are available for comment: Draft Cleanup Action Plan, Consent Decree, and State Environmental Policy Act and Determination of Non-Significance. Zinc and lead are the primary metals recovered in the mining process. Comments will be accepted February 14 through March 16, 2011.
