Description | Ecology is providing an opportunity for the public to comment on the Interim Remedial Action Plan and the issuance of a Determination of Non-Significance for the soil cleanup at the Apple Valley Elementary School at 7 North 88th Ave, Yakima, WA. Soil beneath the grass of the playground at the elementary school contains lead and arsenic. The lead and arsenic likely comes from the use of these chemicals as orchard pest sprays in the early and mid 20th century. Comments will be accepted March 15 through April 16, 2012. | ||||
