| Description | Cle Elum Dam impounds and enlarges a natural lake. Lack of fish passage at the dam blocks salmon from their historical access to the lake and upstream. Constructing fish passage at Cle Elum Dam will bring about a return of one of the largest sockeye salmon runs in the Yakima River and Columbia River Basins. It will also allow threatened bull trout and other reservoir fish to move throughout the basin. |
