| Description | The Department of Ecology collected monthly water quality data at 91 stream monitoring stations during Water Year 2013 (Oct 1, 2012 through Sept 30, 2013). We also collected 30-minute interval temperature data at 25 stations, mostly from early July through September 2013. The principal goals of the ongoing program are to monitor trends in water quality of rivers and streams in Washington State, support a probabilistic monitoring program, and support federal Clean Water Act Section 303(d) reporting. The 2013 annual report includes (1) a continued trend analysis for nitrogen concentrations and yields for major river systems residing within the Puget Sound region and (2) a quality control evaluation of data collection for continuous water quality information using multi-parameter instruments. |
