| Description | The Washington Department of Ecology has issued an updated water quality permit that requires large-scale livestock facilities, called Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs), to implement specific practices to better protect groundwater, rivers, lakes and marine waters from manure pollution. The permit changes are based on substantial feedback we received from stakeholders and the public. | ||||||
