Description | Cleanup work on the Bellingham waterfront is happening at the direction of Ecology under authority of the state’s cleanup law, the Model Toxics Control Act. The Port of Bellingham and the City of Bellingham are the main agencies responsible for completing the work. In 2017-2019 significant cleanup construction was completed as well as work on various studies, plans, and other necessary documents. In 2019-2021 we expect to complete cleanup plans and design and construction documents for 8 sites. If the legislature provides additional grant funding, final construction would begin on 7 of these 8 sites.completing the work. | ||||
