Description | The Water Resources Program is pursuing approval for request legislation on well construction and licensing. This proposal is still a draft version and is pending approval from the Governor’s Office. We regulate well construction to ensure safe drinking water, protect water resources, and provide minimum standards for the drilling industry. Easing regulatory burden and keeping the statute up-to-date with drilling practices will ensure that we can most effectively manage critical groundwater resources to protect the health, welfare, and safety of Washington communities. |
