Description | Limited monitoring in the Yakima River near Nelson Siding has shown that the Upper Yakima River can have high water temperature and low dissolved oxygen levels that do not protect fish and other aquatic life that depend on cool, oxygenated water. A previous water quality project on the tributaries to the Upper Yakima River showed that the water temperatures in some tributaries also do not protect fish and aquatic life. This project outlines an Ecology monitoring program to measure temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, and other parameters associated with productivity during the 2019 calendar year. |
