| Description | In the past, a commonly used pesticide, lead-arsenate, was applied in central Washington orchards and settled into the soil, creating large areas of contamination in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Yakima, and parts of Benton counties. Long-term exposure increases the risk of certain health problems and Ecology’s goal is to help developers and local governments mitigate potential health risks during the planning phase of redevelopment. | ||||
