Description | The Washington State legislature and Governor Inslee passed House Bill 1543 in 2019. The act required Ecology to create and implement a Statewide Recycling Contamination Reduction and Outreach Plan (CROP) based on best management practices. The State CROP includes a statewide action plan to reduce recycling contamination, and outlines Ecology's next steps to assist local governments in their anti-contamination efforts.
