| Description | This guide is intended to help familiarize residents and business owners in the Chehalis Basin with measures and actions they can take to protect themselves and their property from flood damage. This guide has been provided through the Community Flood Assistance and Resilience, or CFAR component of the Chehalis Basin Strategy. The three most important things a resident or business owner can do about flooding are: 1. Know when a flood is coming 2. Protect their property 3. Carry flood insurance Office of Chehalis Basin recommends a person do all three in order to reduce damage from flooding. All three items above are introduce and summarized in this guide. This guide includes links to websites and a list of more detailed references and resources. |
