Description | The Safer Products for Washington program includes a regulatory process designed to keep harmful chemicals out of homes, workplaces, schools, and the environment. This draft report identifies our regulatory determinations for PFAS used in nine categories of consumer products under RCW 70A.350.040(1). It contains an overview of the regulatory determinations and includes a technical chapter about each priority product category. It does not establish regulations or restrictions on PFAS in these product categories. The final version of this draft report will be submitted to the Legislature by June 2024.
NOTES | Errata: Page 94, lines 4-5: •Original text: “Currently, we’re recommending a reporting requirement, rather than a restriction, for PFAS in rain jackets and other wet weather gear.” •Corrected text: “Currently, we’re recommending a reporting requirement, rather than a restriction, for PFAS in extended use products.”
