Description This focus sheet is about environmental justice in Washington. Environmental justice is about taking action to address unfair environmental impacts, prioritize community health and wellbeing, and support a thriving environment for every community. The focus sheet provides a short overview of environmental justice and Washington’s environmental justice law, the HEAL Act. The focus sheet also lists several actions individuals can take if they are interested in or concerned about environmental justice. Finally, the focus sheet provides links to some online tools where individuals can find information about environmental justice and public health issues in their communities.
