| Description | Ecology is launching a $9.6 million grant program to help municipal solid waste landfill owners comply with standards in a new Landfills-Methane Emissions law (Chapter 70A.540 RCW). This publication is the summary of the public engagement process for the Landfill Methane Emissions Reductions Grant program. The Landfill Methane Emissions Reduction grant is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollrs to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov. |
