Description | The Department of Ecology conducted a mixed-method study in 2023 to inform how to best develop an innovative public education and behavior change campaign with the goal of reducing food waste in Washington State. In April 2024, we launched the behavior change campaign. In summer of 2024, we conducted a second survey to measure changes in awareness and behaviors related to food waste. In addition, we studied awareness of campaign messaging, identified effective campaign and messaging strategies, and explored future strategies and opportunities. | ||||
