Description The Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) at the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) offers the Affordable Housing Cleanup Grant Program (AHCGP) to help advance environmental cleanups for affordable housing developments. This program includes both cleanup and planning grants. The Affordable Housing Cleanup Grants can cover all phases of work needed cleanup contaminated sites under an order or decree. The purpose of the AHCGP is to expedite the cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated sites into affordable housing use and lessen the impact of cleanup costs. Applicants must use Ecology’s Administration of Grants & Loans system (EAGL) to apply for the funding. This document contains policies and processes specific to the Affordable Housing Cleanup Grants for the 2025-27 biennium.
