Description The Waste Not Washington School Awards (School Awards) program was established by 70A.214.100 (RCW) to encourage waste reduction and recycling in public and private schools for grades kindergarten through high school. The Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) developed this program to reward schools that build and expand waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting programs and curricula.
