The purpose of the proposed action provides King County with $43.8 million in loan funding to construct a storage facility to hold excess combined sewage (a mixture of domestic sewage and stormwater runoff) during wet weather events. The storage facility will prevent untreated excess combined sewage from overflowing into the Duwamish River as a combined sewer overflow (CSO). |
