Description The Community Engagement Plan Summary (Summary) is an overview of the Department of Ecology’s Community Engagement Plan (Plan). The Plan is a requirement of the Healthy Environment for All Act (HEAL Act, Chapter 70A.02 RCW). It describes how Ecology seeks to facilitate direct, meaningful, and equitable engagement with communities, especially overburdened communities and vulnerable populations as defined in the HEAL Act. The Summary explains the purpose of the Plan and provides an overview of its major sections. The Summary also includes an outline of the process guidance in the Plan and a list of best practices for promoting access and addressing barriers to engagement.
