Description Ecology recommends that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency designate all areas in Washington State as “attainment/unclassifiable” for the 2024 annual sulfur dioxide standard. This recommendation is submitted to EPA by Ecology Director Casey Sixkiller, acting as the Governor’s designee. It reflects the official position of the State of Washington.
