Description At the request of the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Center for Sustainable Food Management (Food Center), the Evans School Consulting Lab team conducted the Statewide Engagement Strategies for Food Waste Prevention study to identify practical outreach, food safety, and messaging strategies that can strengthen participation in Food Waste Prevention Week and Food Safety Month. The project focuses on schools, food service businesses, and nonprofit organizations, where daily food decisions occur and where clear messaging can have direct impact.
