| Description | Ecology collects an annual fee to support implementation of the Clean Fuel Standard. The 2026 fee is based on projected program needs and participant data from 2025. A draft budget, fee proposal, and workload analysis will be available by May 15, with final materials published by June 30 following a public comment period. All program participants pay a base fee, with additional fees for those generating deficits, based on the number of deficits reported. The estimated budget supports staffing, operations, and upcoming work tied to legislative requirements. | ||||
